Welcome back to Natural Health Post
First of all, I wanted you to know that here I’m sharing some upcoming and awesome natural remedies. In addition we will be talking about things like DIY natural living. But first, I wanted to explain my lengthy absence from NHP.
Due to life and those wonderful (yeah sarcasm here) challenges we have to face, I had to take a bit of hiatus. Consequently, I had to learn a lot of lessons too.
I’m sure you know how it is. Furthermore, family is my first priority just like I’m sure it is yours. Rather than quit altogether, I had to take a break and take care of everything on the home front.
Due to some major challenges with my son’s disease processes, as well as other things, I just had to take some time off.
Because I’m sure you know how it feels to have life throw curve balls instead of puff balls, I appreciate your understanding. If you’ve been there and done that, please give Natural Health Post a share and a like on Facebook, to celebrate the “welcome back of NHP” Maybe you can even drop a comment down below
While it felt like everything was trying to hold me back for a bit, I’m back in full swing now. So thanks for bearing with me!
A New Lease on Life Begins
While focusing on my natural health journey or rather, as a result of this journey, I’m finding a new focus on life. Consequently, it’s time to get busy sharing with you.
Due to new practices in food, body care, home care and health practices, you can have renewed energy, skin and general well-being. Isn’t that a gift worth investigating? With all my heart and soul, I believe it is.
Below you will see some of the other great stuff coming up soon. Also wanted to say, I sure hope you love it all and keep coming back to talk and share!
Discovering Natural Health & Lots of Natural Remedies
Probably at some point in your life, you have discovered this world is full of surprise. You’re right! Because we live in a magnificent world of natural miracles, it’s time to take part in what is right here for us. Also, just to make sure we are all using the same definitions, in this context us, means you, me, our families and our friends.
As a result of my studies and experiments, I’m so freaking excited to get going, I’m bubbling over, but I’m humbled at that same time. Nature is a powerful healer in so many ways.
Since there are literally thousands of lessons nature has to teach us, it will probably take a while to cover them all, but we’ll have lots of fun along the way!
Just a Little Taste of Natural Remedies
First of all, I wanted to let you know that herbs and oils is one of the topics we’ll talk about soon. Because I’ve found some interesting trends and helpful information in this area, that is one of the topics in our near future. Just FYI! These can help create natural remedies for just about anything. Natural wonders are everywhere around you. Probably, even in your own yard.
Shortly, we will investigate anti-inflammatory natural remedies, also. Because inflammation is so damaging to all of us, it’s a worthy opponent! That crap hurts and there’s really no better way to say it!
Some other things on the close horizon are mistakes and mishaps which you may find quite funny. Because the best way to learn is by doing, right? So…guess what? We will all learn by doing together. You will see and hear about both success and failure. Therefore, learning to make my own stuff at home the hard…uh fun way, may be slightly entertaining at times.
Can’t wait to share all of this because you will probably find the pics hilarious!
No, I didn’t blow up anything, but let’s just say some of it is not too pretty.
Natural Remedy Choices
Along the way we will also talk about what’s been working well. Since, returning to health using nature’s gifts is an awesome experience, everyone deserves to have the opportunity. Sharing it with all with you will, therefore, make learning even better!
It’s important to note that there are many choices and avenues for natural health. Here are just a few of the things we will be talking about on NHP. While we will cover many modalities of natural health, it will take some time. That’s wonderful though because part of the joy is in the experience.
Natural Remedies or Traditional Medicine?
I’m not getting on a soapbox or anything (where did that phrase come from anyway?), but one thing I’ve learned about traditional or allopathic medicine, as it’s sometimes called, they are not designed to heal. I won’t say it never heals, but it certainly seems to do more symptom treating than healing.
There are things like surgeries that are necessary at times. These really do fix problems like broken bones. In fact, there are times when medications are absolutely necessary. Nothing has a one size fits all remedy so don’t stop taking your medications without talking to your doctor first.
In fact, if you are under a doctor’s care, you need to talk to them about any natural health approach you decide to implement. Because it’s best to get your doctor involved in your natural health care also, be sure to talk to them about all the natural remedies you would like to try.
Each one of us is an individual and therefore we require individualized treatment. The key is using all types of treatments.
Another good point is, patching a problem is different than discovering the root cause and eliminating it. If it can’t be eliminated, natural health approaches can likely complement other therapies.
With a natural approach we strive to find the root cause to problems and apply nature’s principles. Rather than stabbing in the dark at superficial treatments, our goal is to truly effect the healing process. Either something helps or it won’t. Sometimes we may have to stay on medications, but natural health will have its place as well.
Natural Remedies as we Age
In some of our beginning research, we’ve learned a few of your top priorities. Hence, we also discover something kind of funny. Many of your top priorities are the same ones that have begun plaguing me within the last few years.
Here’s just a few of the top concerns you told me were important. Let me know if you like the list so far.
- Pain help the natural way
- Natural remedies for hot flashes
- Weight loss help
- Natural remedies for anxiety
Now, that’s just to name a few. Maybe this gives you an idea of where we are coming from and where we’re going. Because, life is full of tumultuous times, it’s time to go back at her using her own special gifts.
Whether young or older we have faced many of life’s challenges, right? Because of this it seems especially relevant to now embrace an artful change. In addition to embracing, we will learn how to face them the very best way!
Can Natural Remedies Help with Aging?
I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of hearing “it’s just part of getting older” or “yeah, things like that start happening around your age.” While some of that may be true, the more I’m learning, the more I understand. As much as some would like us to believe it’s so, things don’t have to be that way.
You don’t have to age the hard way. Also, pain does not have to be accepted as part of the normal aging process. Furthermore, we don’t have to accept lack of energy as “just the way it is.” Finally, you don’t have to lose your eyesight, flexibility and memory just because we are aging a little.
No…. not anymore. Maybe, learning what to do and how to do it is key. Because we are going to do this together and fight back, right? That’s right folks! We do have to age, but we can do it gracefully and in good health!
What health issues are you facing? Or what great things are you already doing?
Please share so we can all learn from one another!
Natural Health Post Personal Announcement
Oh yeah, by the way, this is Darlene.
Even though I’m a healthcare provider, life has taught me that there’s a lot of gray in the world. While around the world for thousands of years healthcare has meant many things, we’ve also forgotten and lost track of many good practices.
“Modern” healthcare is not so much about healing and curing. It’s more about placating. Also, diagnoses and medications are often like patchwork. They hide or suppress symptoms without truly healing and fixing the problem. In addition to that, many times medications and perhaps even diagnoses are given just so something can be done to us.
I’m taking the plunge and really, really becoming the expert I need to be. With support from all of you and my right arm (Sara), I’ve begun my ND program. If you don’t know what an ND is, it’s a Doctor of Naturopathy. I’m so excited I just about can’t contain myself. Please share in this excitement with me and share the journey as well.
How can you help? Because you are such a great reader group, any encouragement is appreciated! Most of all, prompt with questions! As a result of your inquisitive minds, readers ask some of the best questions out there to make us really think. Because there’s nothing better than engaged readers to challenge the status quo and get to the heart of the issue, I welcome you!
Thanks, in advance, for your encouragement!
Also…you will be kept up to date on all my new learning and research. We will conquer this journey together!!
Finally, please let me know any particular topics of interest you may have! I will get back to you as quickly as possible.
